What does the “Verified” badge mean?

The “Verified” badge is awarded to listings where a Készlethajók staff member has personally reviewed the information provided by the seller before publication and has checked the areas specified in the listing or is familiar with the boat’s history. Verification may be based on available documents, experience servicing the boat and, where expressly indicated, an in-person inspection.

What do we check?

Verification may cover the following areas. The checks carried out on each boat are specified separately in its listing.

  • Documents: the availability of documents confirming the boat’s identity and ownership, and whether the information they contain matches the listing.
  • Condition: whether the boat’s condition, as far as it can be established or observed during an in-person inspection, is consistent with the description and photos.
  • Equipment: the presence of the equipment listed in the advertisement. We only consider its operation to have been tested if we expressly state this.
  • History and maintenance: a review of available documents relating to previous use, servicing and repairs, as well as our own experience servicing the boat.
  • Availability: checking whether the boat is actually available for purchase at the specified location at the time of verification.

What professional expertise do we draw on?

Készlethajók features boats from Hungarian dealerships, including Pannon Yacht, Beneteau’s Hungarian representative, and Power and Sail, which specialises in electric boats. Sturm-Tech, the official service provider for Power and Sail and Y Yacht Klub, maintains several hundred boats. As a result, we know the history and maintenance records of many boats listed here through direct professional experience.

If we draw on this experience or service documentation when assessing a boat, we indicate this in the relevant listing.

What about former charter boats?

For boats previously used for rental, known as charter boats, their more intensive use must also be taken into account. Our listings may include former charter boats with maintenance records going back years. Documented servicing helps establish a boat’s history, but does not in itself confirm its current technical condition.

What does the “Verified” badge not mean?

Verification of a listing is not a comprehensive technical inspection by an expert, does not replace a pre-purchase boat survey and does not guarantee that the boat is free of defects. It does not automatically include identifying hidden defects or conducting detailed instrument-based testing of the hull, propulsion system, batteries or other equipment.

Can a separate boat survey be requested?

Yes, we also offer a formal boat survey as a separate service. Please contact our staff for details of its scope and terms. The “Verified” badge alone does not mean that the boat has undergone such a survey.

Before purchasing, we recommend viewing the boat in person and, for a used boat, also consulting an independent expert, so that you can make your decision with a full understanding of both its current technical condition and the available documents relating to its history.
