Day Cruiser Boats

A day cruiser is a motorboat designed for day trips: it leaves the marina in the morning and returns in the afternoon or evening. Typical features include a large cockpit, sunbathing area, swim platform and bimini sunshade. Some models also have a small forward cabin and a toilet, suitable for an afternoon rest or an occasional overnight stay, but they do not offer the comfort of a weekender or houseboat.

Who are they for?

Families and groups of friends who want to head out on the water for swimming, anchoring in a quiet spot or exploring. Owners of holiday homes or houses on Lake Balaton who only need a smaller marina berth or their own jetty. And anyone looking for their first boat. Day cruisers up to 2,5 metres wide can generally be towed on public roads without a special permit, so the boat can be stored at home in winter and taken to other waters, such as Lake Tisza.

Electric day cruisers: what should you look for?

Motor power and battery capacity together determine the experience. A 5–10 kW drive is suited to relaxed, quiet cruising, while a 33 kW (50 LE) motor paired with a larger battery can also get the boat on plane. Range always depends on speed and load: at a leisurely cruising pace, it can last all day, while at full throttle it is considerably shorter.

Our current range

We have two Bayliner models in stock: the 5,5-metre open E5 and the VR6 Cuddy with a cabin. Alongside them are two new models from the Polish boatbuilder Corsiva: the Coaster 600 DC with a cabin and the Corsiva 607 Runabout, both with 50 LE electric outboard motors.
